John Daniel Lewis (Jay or Uncle Buck)

John Daniel Lewis 64, of Dublin, Texas passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at a hospital in Dallas. He suffered a massive heart attack in May 2024, and remained hospitalized until he passed. He was one strong man because he fought to live for over 9 months.

John was born November 14, 1960, in Texarkana, to the late TJ and Sandra Lewis. He was the oldest of five children. He attended Stephenville High School and then went on to work pipeline work all over Texas. He had his own lawn and tree trimming business in Stephenville.

John is survived by son, Rocky Lewis of Bluff Dale; daughter, Whitney Lewis of Ft. Worth; common law wife, Hollye Melton; brother, Jeff Lewis and wife Michelle of De Leon; twin sisters, Merry Wells and Marcy Hernandez both of Dublin; two grandkids, Rayden and Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents, TJ and Sandra Lewis; and youngest brother, Joey Lewis.
