Jose Ventura Ramirez, 62, passed from this life Thursday, December 5, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was born September 11, 1962, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. He married Juana E. Arizpe on February 8, 1989, and they enjoyed a loving marriage.

Jose moved to Comanche County when he was eleven years old and lived in De Leon the remainder of his life. He worked as a laborer in the agriculture industry. He loved to garden and spend time outdoors. He also loved all kinds of animals and listening to music. Jose loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Juana Ramirez; sons, Vint Ramirez and wife, Jessica, and Jose Ramon Ramirez; ten brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Ezekiel Noel Ramirez, Elijah Vincent Ramirez, and Eva Flor Ramirez; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Jose was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, De Leon. Interment followed in De Leon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Vint Ramirez, Jose Ramirez, Mariano Barron, Juan De Dios Arizpe, Lauro Ramirez, and Lawrence Ramirez.
