Joseph M. Bain, 37, of De Leon, passed from this life December 2, 2023, in Louisiana. He was born November 14, 1986, in Abilene, Texas to Albert and Linda Bain. Joe married Kaci Burkeen on March 1, 2008.
Joe lived in De Leon most all his life and graduated from De Leon High School Class of 2006. He was a welder in the construction industry and proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was deployed to Iraq in 2008. Throughout his military career, Joe built many lasting friendships that were very special to him. He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing and spending as much time as possible outdoors. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical and working with his hands. He loved to travel and listen to music. Joe's family was his greatest joy in life, and he loved being silly with his kids. He was a loving and devoted dad to each of them. Joe will be missed beyond measure by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kaci Bain; sons, Zaylyn Bain and Jakob Bain; daughter, Chelsi Bain; mother, Linda Gray; parents-in-law, Mike and Patsy Burkeen; parents-in-law, Robert and Lisa Johnson; sisters-in-law, BreAnna Crim and Stephanie Lively; brother-in-law, Brandon Burkeen and wife, Jonie; nephew, Zackery Bain; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and other extended family. Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Albert Bain, and his brother, Zackery Bain.
The Bain family will receive friends for visitation Monday, December 11, 2023, from 5-7:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in Oliver Springs Cemetery with Brother Bill Williams officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Burkeen, Brayden Burkeen, Bill Williams, Rowdy Wilkerson, DeWayne Gomez, and Matthew Locke.
