Juan Ybarra, Jr., 73, of De Leon, passed away January 6, 2019, in Ft. Worth. He was born September 15, 1945, in Hondo, Texas to Juan Ybarra, Sr. and Felomena Guana.

Juan's parents moved their family from Hondo to De Leon in 1973. Juan worked for thirty-five years for Wolfe Pecanlands in Comanche. He loved working outdoors. Juan enjoyed many hobbies including mowing his yard, growing plants, deer hunting and working on engines. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Josephine; son, Victor Ybarra and wife, Juana; daughter, Gloria Cervantes and husband, Pedro; grandchildren, Amanda Melendres, Adrian Ybarra, Victoria Ybarra, Cecilia Cervantes, David Cervantes, Danny Cervantes, Sylvia Morales, George Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Jr., Eduardo Hernandez and Raul Hernandez; twenty-one great-grandchildren; brothers, Baldo Ybarra, Louis Ybarra, Martin Ybarra, Pedro Ybarra and Robert Ybarra; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. Juan was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Santos and Frank; sister, Erlinda; and daughter, Lisa Hernandez.

Funeral Mass was held Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, De Leon. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
