Judy Marie Wilkerson Smith, 72, of Georgetown, Texas peacefully passed from this life and met Jesus on December 9, 2021.  She was born on December 16, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas to Sally Nowlin.  Jim and Altha Wilkerson adopted her and raised her in the Downing area.  Judy met her loving and devoted husband, Mike Smith, in 1967 and they married that same year in De Leon, Texas.

After graduating De Leon High School, Judy attended Southwest Texas State in San Marcos.  Mike's job transferred him to the Austin area, where they lived for many years.  They raised Bryant and Bradley in Fredericksburg, De Leon and Austin until they moved to Tomball, Texas in 1989.  Judy was employed for 23 years as a paraprofessional in special education.  She retired in 2003 and developed a love for gardening and growing beautiful flowers.  She also loved to read and spend as much time as she could with her grandchildren and traveling with Mike.

Judy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mike Smith; her son, Bryant Smith, his wife Heather and their children Zachary and Hailey Smith; son, Bradley Smith, his wife Kristi Smith and their daughter Mollie and husband Cody and great grandson Colt Collums; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Judy has been reunited in Heaven with her parents; brother, Paul Ray; and sister-in-law, Quata Wilkerson; and lots of beloved friends.

Memorial services celebrating Judy's life were held Monday, December 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at De Leon First Baptist Church with Jim Farley and Cecelia Boswell officiating.
