Karen Dianne King, 55, went home to her Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 20, 2020, with her loving family by her side. She was born December 17, 1964, in Houston, Texas to James Edward King and Marilyn Retha Williams King.
Dianne was raised in the Houston area and was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church in New Caney, Texas. She worked for New Caney ISD serving as a Teacher's Aide. She loved her career and the opportunity it provided her to help children learn and grow. In 2016, Dianne moved to De Leon to be close to family and eventually moved her church membership to De Leon First Baptist Church. She loved her church family dearly. Dianne loved to sing and serve the Lord. One of her greatest joys in life was working with children, a natural talent she had her entire life. Her family meant everything to her and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dianne is survived by her mother, Marilyn Retha Williams King; sisters, Mary Lynn King Powers and husband, Gary, and Trisha King Beaty and husband, Mark; four nieces, Patricia D'Leece Smith Muir, Kameran Elisabeth Beaty, Jonni Lyne Powers and Jaclyn Karanae Beaty Ratliff; two great-nephews, James Muir and Henri Muir; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; other extended family; and many beloved friends. Dianne has been reunited with her father, James Edward King; paternal grandparents, John Edgar and Mae King; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Maribel Williams.
Funeral services celebrating Dianne's life were held Monday, May 25 th , at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, New Caney, Texas, with Brother Tim Davis officiating. Interment followed in Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Porter, Texas. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church (125 South Houston Street, De Leon, Texas 76444) or to Bethel Baptist Church (23307 Roberts Road, New Caney, Texas 77357), in memory of Dianne. Services are in the care of both Nowlin Anders Funeral Home, De Leon, Texas and Rosewood Funeral Home, Porter, Texas. Condolences may be offered online at www.nowlinandersfh.com or Rosewood.cc.
