Obituary

Kevin Weaver, age 71, of Waco, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020, in Waco with his loving family by his side. He was born December 14, 1948, in De Leon, Texas to Conner Noel Weaver and Ruby McCullough Weaver.

Kevin graduated from De Leon High School Class of 1967. He soon after went on to complete certification as a engineer for MKT railroad and relocated his family to Smithville in 1975. He retired from Union Pacific as an Engineer after more than twenty-five years of committed service. In 2017, he moved from Ft. Worth to Waco to be closer to family. He attended Calvary Assembly of God and Bethany Fellowship throughout his life and faithfully listened to online sermons when he was no longer able to attend in person. Kevin always reminded his family of how true and strong his faith in God was, a comfort they all feel today knowing he is healed and at home with his Savior.

Kevin enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life. He loved hunting and any outdoor activity, especially spending a beautiful day on the lake fishing and water skiing. Every June, Kevin looked forward to the McCullough family reunion on Lake Proctor where he could spend time with his wonderful family making new memories and reminiscing about the years gone by. He also enjoyed working on cars and cooking. Kevin loved his family. He made sure they each knew just how much he loved them. As Kevin grew wiser in years, his children noticed that he became more tender in the way he showed his love. While raising his own family, he was the protecting, rule enforcing father who always tried his hardest to keep his kids in line, while showing them endless love. Once grandkids blessed Kevin's life, a softer type of love was shown to his grandchildren (who could do no wrong in his eyes). He was a doting grandfather and great-grandfather and he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Kevin was a committed and loving father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children, Heather Coonrod and husband, Judson, Ashley Weaver, and Heath Weaver; grandchildren, Nicholas Weaver, Kelsey Caddell, Cameron Caddell, Cain Williams, Noah Weaver, Asa Miles, Morgan Weaver and Hayden Worthington; great-grandchildren, Conner Weaver and Jace Dolezel; brother, Noel Weaver; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Kevin has been reunited with his parents, Conner and Ruby Weaver; and brother, Neil Weaver.
