On August 30, 2021, LaJoyce Davis peacefully passed away at the age of 91 years and 7 months at Good Tree Assisted Living in Stephenville, Texas.

LaJoyce was born in Comanche County on January 31, 1930, to Rupert and Iowa (Southhall) Blankenship. LaJoyce spent most of her life in Comanche County.  She graduated from Comyn High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Donnell Davis, in Midland, Texas, on January 23, 1950, and to this union was twin daughters Cynthia Kaye and Deborah Faye. LaJoyce worked for F &M Bank and later was Site Manager for De Leon Senior Citizens.  She also provided love and care as a surrogate mom for her nephew, Mark Davis. She enjoyed sewing, painting, working puzzles, cooking and any type of outside work, but she thoroughly enjoyed being around friends and family.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Garner and Johnny of Carrollton and Debbie Robinson and Ronnie of Ovalo; four grandchildren, Deana Kirtley, Kelly Scannell, Kandy Beese and Brad Robinson; eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

LaJoyce was preceded in death by her husband Donnell Davis; parents, Rupert and Iowa Blankenship; and eight siblings, Ollie George, Wayne Blankenship, Louise Knight, Olan Blankenship, James Durwood Blankenship, Harold Blankenship, Gerry Blankenship, and Janie Lucas.
