Laura Ann Keith, 88, of Desdemona, peacefully passed from this life Friday, January 6, 2023. She was born November 1, 1934, in San Angelo, Texas to John Cameron and Maudie Lee Stewart Cameron. Laura married Bernard Mhal Keith September 29, 1951, in Odessa, Texas. Bernard preceded Laura in 2019.
Laura was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. She enjoyed many hobbies including singing, musicals, traveling and spending time away from home in the RV. She was an excellent cook and a talented seamstress. She loved to crochet. Laura was a devoted wife to her husband of 67 years and loved to spend time reading the Bible aloud to him. She also thoroughly enjoyed song writing. She was a selfless wife and mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, special sister, and loving friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She and Bernard were longtime members of Highland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Robinett and Tami Sanders; son, Brad Keith (Priscilla); brother, Johnnie Cameron; grandchildren, Nikki Febinger (Billy), Keitha Robinett (Kevin Avants), Derek Robinett (Heather), David Griffith (Sheila), Robyn Griffith, Jenna Keith, Andrea Keith, Brian Keith, and Brett Keith (Devyn); numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Laura has been reunited with her husband, Bernard; her daughter, Kimberly Jo; and her parents.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church with Brother Burt Atkins officiating. Interment followed in Victor Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Derek Robinett, Billy Febinger, Kevin Avants, Brian Keith, Christopher Febinger and Micheal Keith.
