L.C. Cearley, 87, of Bedford, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
He was born February 19, 1928, in Rule, Texas, to Clyde Elbert Cearley and Mary Hitt Cearley. L.C. married Jean Alene Taylor April 29, 1960, in Gulf Port, Mississippi.
His career in the oil field brought him to many locations across the globe. L.C. was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Brown Trail church of Christ in Bedford. L.C. enjoyed working on computers and studying astronomy. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Taylor; daughters, Janine Owens and husband, James, and Janeece Garlish and husband, James; grandchildren, Jared Owens, Jason Owens and Avelyn Garlish; sisters, Jimmie Grace Hampton, Janice Boyles and Annie Rue Sergent; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
L.C. was preceded by his parents, Clyde and Mary Cearley; and brother, J.E. Cearley.
Graveside services were held Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. in Victor Cemetery with Minister David Westbrook officiating.
