Leslie "Les" W. Stepan, 64, of De Leon, passed from this life October 26, 2022, in Granbury. He was born July 21, 1958, in Grand Prairie, Texas to Martin L. Stepan and Dorothy C. Wall Stepan.

Les graduated from Grand Prairie High School Class of 1976. He worked in various professions over the years, but most recently was employed with De Leon ISD in the maintenance department. Les loved to spend as much time as possible outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was active in competitive archery and was a champion bow competitor. Les also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving son, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family every chance he had. He will be missed beyond measure.

He is survived by his daughters, Christine Kelly and husband, Shawon, Julie Henderson and husband, Ron, and Anda Upchurch and husband, Jonathan; mother, Dorothy C. Stepan; grandson, Hudson Kelly; brothers, Ray Stepan and wife, Tina, and John Stepan and wife, Lisa; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Les was preceded in death by his father, Martin Stepan; grandparents, Delma G. Sharp and Charles Atlas Wall.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 31, 2022, at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Paul Winegeart officiating. Interment followed in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Erath County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Irving Bowhunters Association at 246 Jacinth Lane, Granbury, Texas 76049, care of Christine Kelly.
