Obituary

Leta Glazier peacefully passed away and met her Lord and Savior January 2, 2021 at the golden age of 94. She was born August 3, 1926, in Rising Star, Texas to Charles Clarkson and Fannie Sheppard Clarkson. Leta married Clifford Glazier May 9, 1947, in Dublin, Texas. They had three children, Mac, Amy and Lori.

Leta graduated from Dublin High School Class of 1944 and attended John Tarleton University. She was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. Leta made her home in De Leon, Texas until moving to Bedford, Texas October 1973. She moved back home to De Leon in September 2017 and resided in De Leon Nursing and Rehab until her passing. She was a longtime member of De Leon First United Methodist Church  as well as William C. Martin Methodist Church in Bedford, Texas. Leta loved both of her churches and her church families. She was a wonderful cook and loved having family gatherings when she was able. She was a loving wife and mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Mac Glazier (Lena) of Proctor; grandchildren, Lori Foster (Michael) of Lone Camp, Texas and their children, Ethan Foster and Makayla Foster, and Jeremy Lang (Krystal) of Katy, Texas and their children Bodie Lang and Hunter Lang; numerous nieces, nephews; and other extended family.

Leta has been reunited with her loving husband of sixty-five years, Clifford (2012); two daughters, Amy Lewis (2014) and Lori Glazier (1965); grandson, Kyle Glazier (2006); parents, Charles and Fannie Clarkson; four sisters; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Graveside funeral services celebrating Leta's life were held Friday, January 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Brother Daniel Burlison officiating.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to De Leon First Christian Church, De Leon First United Methodist Church, or the charity of your choice in memory of Leta.

The Glazier family would like to thank the loving caregivers at De Leon Nursing and Rehab for their kind and compassionate care for Leta. Also, thanks to Dr. Todd Davis for his guidance and care over the years.
