Linda Joy Gretsinger, 67, passed from this life December 21, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with Huntington's Disease. Linda was born June 30, 1956, in San Francisco, California to Arthur K. Dahl and Elenor S. Benson Dahl. Linda married Rick Gretsinger October 9, 1999.

Linda attended San Joaquin Delta Collage after high school. She was employed with Diede Construction as a contract secretary for eighteen years in Lodi, California. While living in California, Linda was active in her community serving in the Clements Buckaroo Organization, the Tri-Dam 4H Club, and the Calaveras County Fair Booster Club. She and Rick moved to De Leon in 2008 and loved living in Texas. Linda enjoyed many hobbies including riding horses, team penning, barrel racing, and trail riding. She was a proud and hard-working member of the De Leon Rodeo Association. She loved all animals but was especially fond of dogs, cats, and horses. Linda treasured her annual Wagon Trail adventures with Kit Carson Mountain Men Organization and being involved in the county fair.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Linda lived her life always looking on the bright side of things and was rarely without a happy smile on her face. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Linda was an accomplished cowgirl and was her happiest while on horseback. Linda loved their Desdemona First Baptist Church family dearly and she loved her faithful God always. Her family and many friends brought her much happiness throughout her life and her trust in God never wavered. She will be missed beyond measure by all who loved her.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Rick; daughter, Karey McPhee Moore and husband, C.R. Moore, III; stepdaughter, Laurie Gretsinger; stepson, Jon Gretsinger; granddaughter, Justice; step grandchildren, Brittany Bird, Morgan Bird, and William Bird; and sister, Sally Wood. She has been reunited with her parents.

Funeral services celebrating Linda's life were held December 27, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Desdemona First Baptist Church with Brother Johnny Hart officiating. Graveside committal followed in Howard Cemetery.
