Linda Ellen Phelps, 74, of De Leon, passed from this life Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born March 13, 1948, in Stanton, Virginia to Charles H. Phelps and Gracie V. Farrish Phelps.

Linda moved to the De Leon area in 1979 and lived the remainder of her life here. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was especially close to her brother Mike. Together, they enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. She loved to work puzzles and embroidering. Linda will be deeply missed by her family and all who loved her.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Kathy Phelps; nephew, Raymond Gerth, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Linda has been reunited with her parents; brothers, John Phelps, Charles Phelps, and Mike Phelps; and sister, Mary Gerth.

Graveside funeral services were held Monday, October 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in Round Grove Cemetery with Brother Harold Higginbotham officiating.
