Linda Naomi Shurden, 68, of De Leon, passed away May 21, 2017, in Abilene.
She was born November 10, 1948, in Pascola, Missouri, to John Edward Luna and Cora Ella Smith Luna. Linda married Phillip Shurden April 23, 1973 in Grenada, Mississippi.
Linda and Phillip moved to De Leon in 2006 from Maypearl, Texas. She was a loving and devoted homemaker for her family. She enjoyed playing poker and other types of cards. She liked to shop and attend garage sales. Linda loved to watch her kids rope and play polo. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Heather Masters and husband, Brandon, Jennifer Williams and husband, Speed, Kelli Jo Shurden; and Johnna Mayeux and husband, Luke; son, Phillip Shurden and wife, Haley; grandchildren, Hali Williams, Caden Cavness, Gabe Williams, John Masters, Madi Masters, Andrew Mayeux and Gracie Mayeux; brothers, Sterling Luna and wife, Thelma, and Daniel Luna and wife, Patty McLemore; sister, Peggy Norman and husband, Larry; and several nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
Linda has been reunited with her husband, Phillip; parents, John and Cora Luna; and two brothers.
Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche, with Minister Lowell Ercanbrack officiating.
