Obituary

Linda B. Waller, 78, of De Leon, peacefully passed from this life on November 1, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born July 16, 1944, in Gorman, Texas to Buel and Doris Bryan. She married Craig Waller June 22, 1963.

Linda graduated from Gorman High School class of 1962. She lived all her life in Eastland and Comanche Counties. Linda worked for Cook Insurance for many years and loved the insurance industry and the Wallace Cook Family. Linda and Craig loved to travel, and her favorite destination was South Padre Island. They also spent time in Anchorage, Alaska and Topeka, Kansas as Craig was a civilian contractor for military bases.

She was a longtime member of De Leon First Baptist Church where she was active in many ministries. She taught the 5 th and 6 th grade Trailblazers Class alongside Mickey Robinett for many years. She also selflessly always served on the bereavement meal committee and the church youth kitchen crew. Linda's love of children was evident. She was an honorary grandmother to many children, and she was sure to share the love of Christ with anyone she could. Her love for God and her devotion to serving as His hands and feet was strong even in her final days. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, loyal friend, and true servant of the Lord. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Waller; grandchildren, John Waller and Cooper Waller; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Linda has been reunited with her husband, Craig; parents, Buel and Doris Bryan; brother, Jimmie Bryan; sister-in-law, Lillie Bryan; and niece, Liz Siler.

Funeral services celebrating Linda's life were held Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at De Leon First Baptist Church with Brother Daniel Harper and Brother Paul Windgeart officiating. Interment followed in De Leon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Huddleston, Bob Whitney, Matt Sparger, Mickey Robinett, Michael Reyna, and Richard Owen.
