Obituary

Lois Ophelia Coan, 85, passed peacefully from this life January 1, 2024, in Weatherford. She was born August 1, 1938, in Rotan, Texas to B.N. and Inez Coan.

Lois spent most all her life in De Leon. She was employed for the sewing factory for many years. Lois was a member of Comyn Baptist Church and a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a talented artist and loved to paint. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her loving family. Lois was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two brothers, Leander Coan and Donald Coan; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Lois has been reunited with her parents; and three brothers, Arvy Coan, Norman Coan, and Benny Coan.

Funeral services celebrating Lois' life were held Friday, January 5, 2024, at Comyn Baptist Church with Brother Ray Seckinger officiating. Lois was laid to rest in Comyn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were McKenzie Hutchins, Kendle Coan, Logan Ruddick, Norman Coan, Jayton Fizer, Brent Coan, and Blane Hutchins. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Comyn Baptist Church in memory of Lois.
