Mary Lou "Louise" Elizabeth Simpson Sadberry, 88, of De Leon, went home to her Lord and Savior Thursday, March 5, 2015.
She was born April 23, 1926, in Anson, Texas, to Stephen Madison Simpson and Rachel Vera Donaldson Simpson. Louise married Earl Sadberry May 8, 1944, in De Leon.
Louise was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of De Leon. She was very active with the United Methodist Women ministry. Louise was a graduate of De Leon High School, class of 1944. She and Earl returned home to De Leon in 1982, after many years living abroad. She was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family and will be missed beyond measure by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Earl Sadberry, Jr., and wife, Judy, of De Leon; grandchildren, Shelley Terrell of Topeka, KS, Connie de Jesus of Amarillo, TX, Bobby Sadberry of Japan, Kimberly Sadberry of Las Vegas, NV, Benjamin Sadberry of Las Vegas, NV, and Leah Sadberry of Las Vegas, NV; great-grandchildren, Tawni Horne, Rachel Royer, Kayla Roberts, Bradley Roberts, and Emily de Jesus; great-great grandsons, Caiden Roberts and Carson Royer; and other extended family.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband; son, Weldon Ray Sadberry; parents; brothers, J.Y. Simpson, Prentice Simpson, Bert Simpson and Elton Simpson; and sisters, Lila Mae Allen and Margret Warneke.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, March 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Rev. Judy Richmond officiating.
