Mae Katherine Killebrew, 95, passed away April 16, 2017, in Abilene, Texas. She was born September 2, 1921, in De Leon, Texas to James Austin Ross and Marylee Ola Gentry Ross. Mae married Delton H. Killebrew December 30, 1939.

Mae loved her family very much and was a devoted homemaker. Outside the home, she worked for over twenty five years for public education systems as a cafeteria food service manager in both Texas and California. In her spare time, Mae enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and bowling. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and neighbor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Elton C. Killebrew; daughter, Linda K. Chorn and husband, Milton E., Jr.; grandchildren, Delton E. Chorn, Sirena L. Bilbrey, Jeffrey Killebrew, Jason Killebrew and Christopher Killebrew; great-grandchildren, Courtney Allen, Jayci Pippin and Brady Bilbrey; and other extended family.

Mae was preceded by her husband, Delton; parents, James and Marylee Ross; and sons, Ramon Killebrew and Jerry Killebrew.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Mae was laid to rest beside her husband in De Leon Cemetery.
