Marcos Huizar Garcia, 67, of Hasse, Texas passed from this life December 31, 2022, in Abilene. He was born January 9, 1955, in Mexico to Elias Garcia and Donicia Huizar Garcia. Marcos married Nicolasa Rodriquez February 28, 1984.

Marcos worked as a laborer in several Comanche County pecan orchards. He was Catholic and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He loved all kinds of music, spending time outdoors doing yardwork, and being with his large family. His grandkids were very special to him, and he lit up around them. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nicolasa Garcia; sons, Cesar Garcia (Maria) and Rene Garcia (Maria); daughter, Amy Watson (Allan); stepdaughters, Lucy Salinas (Joe) and Adelita Castro; brothers, Antonio Garcia, Eliberto Garcia and Fernando Garcia; sisters, Maria Garcia, Juana Garcia, Gregoria Garcia and Reyna Garcia; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Marcos was preceded in death by his parents.

A Rosary service was held Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home Chapel.
