Obituary

Margaret Parsons Campbell, 93, went home to join her Lord and Savior June 14, 2014.

She was born December 7, 1920, in De Leon, to James William and Lula Gillack Parsons. She married Charlie "Scottie" Campbell January 25, 1946.

Margaret was a long-time member of De Leon First United Methodist Church. She lived in the De Leon Community almost all of her life. Margaret owned Margaret's Beauty Shop in De Leon for over 40 years. She loved visiting with people and never met a stranger. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her nieces, Carol Dana Manry, Darlene McGaughey, Debbie Parsons, Barbara Humphries, Pat Bramlett, Gena Jones, Jackie Jacobs, Cindy Miller, Virginia Dare Bowman and Debbie Duke; nephews, Sam Campbell, Randy Parsons, Joe Charles Campbell and James David Parsons; and namesake, Margaret Alice Lee. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Scottie Campbell; parents; brothers, C.A. Parsons, Bob Parsons and Grady Parsons.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery. Clint Shirley and Rev. Judy Richmond officiated the services. Pallbearers were Larry Manry, Ricky George, Jack McGaughey, Chad Isaacs, Jim Parsons and Sam Campbell.
