Maria Perez De La Torre, 93, of De Leon, passed from this life June 20, 2024. She was born February 2, 1931, to Joe Perez and Micaela Perez. Maria was married to Santiago De La Torre.

Maria lived in the De Leon Community since the 1960's. She was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family. Maria enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, watching television, visiting with her family, gardening, and cooking. She attended First Baptist Church of De Leon when she was able. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Mary Luisa Ramirez, Soyla De La Torre, Micaela De La Torre, and Estella De La Torre; grandchildren, Michael, Tim, Christopher, Johnny, David Jr., Robert, Estella, Destine, Amber Bell, Taniqua, and Adrian; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Maria was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sons, Roy, Santiago Jr., Juan, Jessie, David, and Larry; daughter, Delia.

Graveside funeral services were held June 27, 2024, in De Leon Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Paul Winegeart officiating.
