Maria H. Leal, 65, of De Leon, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, in Ft. Worth. She was born June 27, 1952, in Stanton, Texas to Andres Hernandez and Carmen Frausto. She married Alfredo Coronado Leal, Jr. July 18, 1968, in Comanche.
Maria was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, De Leon. She worked for many years as a nursing aide at De Leon Nursing Home. Maria enjoyed playing bingo and games on her phone. She also enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. Maria loved to spend time outdoors and enjoyed fishing. She was always her happiest when spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. All that knew and loved her will miss her beyond measure.
She is survived by her sons, Eloy Leal and wife, Irene, and Alfredo Leal III, daughters, Mercy Davis and husband, Jimmy, and Julie Leal; grandchildren, Natasha Leal, Benjamin Leal, Noah Angulo, Chase Davis, Aaron Smith, Allisha Leal, Allie Leal, Mari Leal, Joe Leal and Brandi Leal; great-grandchildren, Damian Leal, Kenlee Smith, Khloe Weaver and Aubrey Davis; brothers, Robert Hernandez, Ruben Hernandez and Andy Hernandez; sisters, Margarita De La Cruz, Lupe Lomeli, and Janie Carillo; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Coronado Leal, Jr.; parents, Andres and Carmen Hernandez; and sister, Gloria Hernandez.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home.
