Obituary

Marshal Ray Floyd, 80, of De Leon, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. He was born December 7, 1941, in Gorman, Texas to H.C. and Norma R. Fuqua Floyd.

Marshal was raised in De Leon and moved to Midland for many decades returning to De Leon to be close to family in the 1990's. He was a longtime Diesel Mechanic for International Harvester. He was a member of De Leon Church of Christ, Hwy 6. He was a loving dad, granddad, Papa, Pepaw, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by daughter, Kristi Floyd Umber and husband, Mike; two sons, Shaun Floyd and Billy Floyd and wife, Michelle; five grandchildren, Lauren Robinson and husband, Nick, Audra Clark and husband, Jacob, Andrew Floyd, Brice Floyd and Caleb Floyd; five great-grandsons, Caleb Umber, Deckard Clark, Preston Floyd, Brodie Floyd and Alexander Robinson; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Ruth Robinson; four brothers, Hurshel Floyd and Dorothy, Jerry Floyd and wife, Evelyn, Norman Floyd and wife, Mary, and Ronnie Floyd; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. Floyd and Norma Fuqua Floyd; two sisters, Bobbie McCoy and Alma Davis; and sister-in-law, Monica Floyd.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Kenneth Wilson officiating. Interment followed in Desdemona Cemetery.
