Martha Laverne Beaty, 84, of De Leon, Texas passed from this life and met her Savior face to face Wednesday, August 10, 2022. She was born February 26, 1938, in Gorman, Texas to Earl and Vera White Easley.

Martha attended Comyn School through the 8 ^th grade and then attended and graduated from De Leon High School Class of 1956. Martha married Walter John Beaty on July 6, 1957, at Northside Baptist Church in De Leon, Texas, and they celebrated 65 years of marriage last month. After a short stint in the Army in Fort Benning, Georgia, for six months, they lived in Marlin, Texas, for two years while John served as an Assistant County Extension Agent.  They then moved back to De Leon and began farming. They began their family and had four children: David Beaty, Tim Beaty, Mark Beaty, and Beth Beaty.

John and Martha are longtime devoted members of First Baptist Church of De Leon. Martha was a loyal and loving homemaker for her family. She worked alongside John daily on the family farm completing any tasks and chores as needed. She made the best peach cobbler, and that treasured recipe has now passed on to her grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved to be surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Martha was a true Texas Ranger fan and enjoyed watching the games as she was able. She was a loving wife, mother and mother-in-law, doting grandmother, special sister and aunt, and wonderful friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Martha is survived by her husband, John Beaty; sons, Tim Beaty and wife, Cindy, and Mark Beaty and wife, Trisha; daughter, Beth Riggs and husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Staci Cote and husband, Chris, Josh Beaty and wife, Crystal, Rachel Riggs and fiancé, Alex Achorn, Kameran Fairchild and husband, John, Jaclyn Ratliff and husband, Lane, and Aaron Riggs and girlfriend, Claire Lowry; great grandchildren, Luke Beaty, Hannah Beaty, Shelby Cote, Hadlee Ratliff, and soon to be here... Baby Girl Fairchild; brother, Ed Easley; sister-in-law, Barbara Easley; sister-in-law, DaSha Beaty; a host of nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

She has been reunited with her son, David Beaty; parents, Earl and Vera Easley; parents-in-law, Ory and Velda Beaty; sister, Florene Watson and husband, Howard; brother, Jack Easley and wife, Pat; sister, Willa Faye Rogan; sister, Jane Nowlin and husband, Dale; brother, Ray Easley; sister, Jo Kathryn Ratliff; sister-in-law, Louise Easley; and brother-in-law, Joe Beaty.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at De Leon First Baptist Church with Brother Daniel Harper and Brother Donnie Auvenshine officiating. Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Josh Beaty, Aaron Riggs, Chris Cote, John Fairchild, Lane Ratliff, and Alex Achorn.
