Marvin Pat Livingston was born on February 13, 1936, in De Leon, Texas, to Marvin and Lillie Livingston. He passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at the age of 90 years and 5 months. Pat was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who brought warmth and strength to everyone who knew him.

Pat was a man defined by his extraordinary hard work ethic. He began his professional journey with the Texas and Pacific Railroad, starting out as a dispatcher before moving into the engineer's seat, where he spent 26 years proudly driving the trains. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Pat also became a successful business owner, establishing and managing several different types of businesses throughout his lifetime.

Above all, Pat was completely full of life and loved to have fun. He was truly in his element during family gatherings, surrounded by the laughter of those he held dear. He thoroughly enjoyed the company of his friends and his church family, and he had a love for live music that always brought joy to his heart.

Across his career, businesses, and personal life, Pat possessed a rare and genuine way of connecting with people. Whenever he spoke with someone, they felt his absolute sincerity. His dedication to his family, his vibrant spirit, and his honest, kind-hearted nature left an unforgettable mark on everyone who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, DV Bill Livingston; and sisters, Mary Livingston Cherry and Barbara Watkins.

Pat is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Beverly Livingston. He leaves behind a devoted family, including his son, Steven Livingston; his son, Darrell Livingston, and wife Lisa; his daughter, Shelley Goebel, and husband Jimmy; his daughter, LaGatha Baxter, and husband Russell; his son, Shawn Livingston, and wife Sarah; and his daughter, Jennifer Cutsail. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Livingston family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, De Leon. Funeral services celebrating Pat’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Kaiya Kershaw officiating. Graveside committal will follow in De Leon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Darrell Livingston, Steven Livingston, Shawn Livingston, Jimmy Goebel, Russell Baxter, and Phillip Livingston.
