Mary Etta Barefoot Pair, 66, of De Leon, passed from this life Monday, September 6, 2021, at Comanche County Medical Center. She was born October 23, 1954, in Comanche to Martin Byrum Barefoot and Elizabeth June Barefoot.

Mary Etta loved her family. Spending time with her two sons and their children brought her great joy. She enjoyed cooking and fishing. She was employed for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Mary Etta loved her career and the opportunity it allowed her to help others.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Allen Pair, and Eric Pair and wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Teagan Pair, Sheldan Pair, and Madison Pair; brothers, Kerry Barefoot and wife, Lana, and Kenny Barefoot and wife, Sherrie; sister, Twila Pruitt; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Mary Etta has been reunited with her parents, M.B. and Elizabeth Barefoot; brother, Eddie Barefoot; sister-in-law, Leah Barefoot; and brother-in-law, Troy Pruitt.

Memorial services celebrating Mary Etta's life were held Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kenneth Wilson officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Mary Etta.
