Mary K. Gray, 65, of Desdemona, went home to her Lord and Savior January 5, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born October 17, 1951, in Ft. Worth, Texas to William John Parsons and Johnnie Lou Fowler Parsons. Mary K. married Donnie Gray May 13, 2006, in Comanche County.

Mary K. was a long time member of St. John Catholic Church of Strawn, Texas, and was a long standing member at Most Blessed Sacrament in Arlington, Texas, prior to moving to Desdemona in 2003. She owned and operated Comet Cleaners in Arlington for over 22 years. Mary K. loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding horses. She was a wonderful cook and loved to host gatherings for family and friends. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. They were at the center of all she loved to do. Mary K. cherished her time spent with her family and many wonderful friends and will deeply missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donnie Gray; daughter, Tammy Crutsinger; step-daughter, Kara Espe and husband, Sam; step-son, Dustin Gray and wife, Lindsy; grandchildren, Jayme Smith and wife, Tara, Chad Smith and wife, J.T., Tristin Aguirre, Cole Crutsinger, Bryce Crutsinger and Johnny Crutsinger; great-grandchildren, Jake, Blaine and Maddy; aunt, Patricia Vavra; cousins, Connie Bowers, Shirley Vavra and Carolyn Doonan; and other extended family and a host of loving friends.

Mary K. was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald L. Godfrey; son, Chris Crutsinger; parents, William John Parsons and Johnnie Lou Flower Parsons; and grandparents, Horace and Willene Fowler.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 9, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Strawn, with Father Kyle Walterscheid officiating. Graveside services followed in Desdemona Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Roger Winkles, Glen Lewis, Chad Smith, Jayme Smith, Leo Willman and Ronnie Quinn. Honorary pallbearers were Charl Beukes, Scott McCloud, Ethan May and Dustin Gray.
