Mary Thelma Kyle, 85, of De Leon, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016, with her family by her side.
She was born March 7, 1931, in Vidor, Texas, to Eugene Victor King and Odelia Rougeaux King. Mary married Archie Kyle in June 1946 in De Leon.
Mary lived in the De Leon community since 1945. She was a long-time member of De Leon First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She loved spending time outdoors, camping at the lake, fishing, and cooking. Mary also liked to garden and had a beautiful yard. She loved her dog, Tiny. They had a long and loving companionship. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her many friends and family will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her son, Gary Wayne Kyle and wife, Mary; daughter, Julie Moore and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Michael Beard and wife, Tonya, Melody Beard, Shane Kyle and wife, Cara, and Scott Moore; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Boyd and husband, Lawrence; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Kyle; son, Adrion Kyle; parents, Eugene and Odelia King; brothers, Edmond Victor King, A.C. Grimes, and Billy Ray Grimes; sister, Leona Dickey; and granddaughter, Michelle Beard.
The Kyle family has great appreciation for Kindred Hospice (Kay, Carrie, and Stacey) and their professional and loving care shown to Mary. Also, a sincere thank you to Leshelle Cunningham for her loving dedication in caring for Mary. Mary loved you all very much.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 23, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Ray Seckinger officiating. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
