Mary Dominga Leal Perez, age 70, a lifelong resident of De Leon, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She was born October 23, 1949, in Phoenix, Arizona to Santos and Catarina (Molina) Leal.

Mary was a member of Our Lady Catholic Church of De Leon. She enjoyed sewing, camping, fishing and spending time outdoors. She especially loved her family and enjoyed large family gatherings. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mate of twenty six years, Juan Chaves; son, Rosendo Perez; daughters, Christella Blanco, Norma Estrada, Ramona Ortiz, and Rosa Perez; brothers, Melesio Leal, Fernando Leal, Thomas Leal and Rudolfo Leal; sisters, Annabell Leal, Elicia Leal and Antonia Villa; twenty one grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Emily DeLeora; sister, Guadalupe Leal; and brother, Santos Leal, Jr.

Funeral services celebrating Mary's life were held Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home.
