Mary Louise Tunnell Smith, 90, of Farmers Branch, Texas, met her Lord and Savior Thursday, December 17, 2015, with her family by her side.
She was born May 31, 1925, in Erath County, to David Orton Tunnell and Mary Lucinda Young Tunnell. Mary married Frank Smith October 20, 1944, in Dublin, Texas.
Mary worked for the Dallas School District in the food service division for many years. She was also a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. She enjoyed needle point stitching and sewing. She loved her family dearly and spending time with them. She had a magical touch with all her babies and grandbabies. She will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Monte and Sharman Smith, Kathy and Joe Rasberry, Norma Marusak, Duane and Bonnie Smith, Becky and Randy Fuller and Donna Cavaness; grandchildren, Erin Maley, Kyle and Beba Rasberry, Frank Marusak and Lynn Victory, Shelley and Lancie Greenlee, Matt and Dianna Marusak, Molli Von Essen, Aaron Fuller, Sean and Sara Cavaness, and Chelsea and Nick Padilla; great-grandchildren, Sean, Kevin, Kayla, Haley, Grant, Cannon, Vivienne, Mason, Robert, Ryker, Jaxson, Landry, Logan, Mackenzie, Riley, Mira, Jennica, Maximus, Penelope, Andrew and Allison; and other extended family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Smith; parents, David and Mary Lucinda Tunnell; and granddaughter, Joy Carlton.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home in De Leon with Brother Jackie Auvenshine officiating. Interment followed at Victor Cemetery.
