Melvin Grace, 66, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, following an unexpected illness.

A celebration of life service was held at 11:00 a.m. on October 3, 2015, at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home in De Leon, Texas.

Melvin was born in Gorman, Texas, to Clara Beth Golden and Lindon Grace on November 16, 1948. He graduated from Talpa Centennial in 1967 and later attended Cisco Junior College.

Melvin was forever a free spirit and added a touch of crazy beautiful light into the lives of so many. He was a carpenter by trade, but also a talented musician and songwriter. Melvin's love for music began early in his childhood and remained one of his primary loves until his final days. He impacted many people and will always be remembered as a rare soul who was never afraid to seize the moment and live life to the fullest.

Melvin will be remembered through his beautiful children, Skye Grace, Brendon Grace, and Devin Grace. He will also be remembered through the lives of his siblings, Delbert Grace, Tenna Swint, and Sherri Maultsby, along with his significant other, Kathy Conner.

Melvin was preceded in death by Clara Beth and Lindon, as well as his step-father and important influence on his life, E.M. Curtis.

The family requests memorials be made to the donor's favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
