Micah Sides, 51, a lifelong resident of De Leon, passed from this life Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his home. He was born November 29, 1971, in De Leon, Texas to Jimmy G. Sides and Martha A. Stone Sides.

Micah graduated from De Leon High School Class of 1990. He worked for several decades as a professional cook and later retired from disability. Micah was a proud and loving father to two sons from his previous marriage to Lisa Wilkerson: Erik Sides and Zak Sides. He enjoyed taking in all his sons' activities and as they grew older, he enjoyed their close friendship. Micah enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, cooking, and hunting. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his family and many friends. Micah was a longtime member and Deacon of Fair Haven Baptist Church and most recently attended First Christian Church. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Erik Sides and Zak Sides; father, Jimmy Sides; sisters, Milly Gray and husband, Brad, and Melody Beach; nieces, Callie Beach, Whitney Beach, and Linzi McElfresh; and nephew, Brady Gray. Micah has been reunited with his mother, Martha, and sister, Jenny Sides.
