Monica S. Floyd, age 61, of De Leon passed away at her home May 25, 2018. She was born January 22, 1957, in Sweetwater, Texas to Glen Wilson and Elaine Boen Wilson. Monica married Ronnie Floyd October 24, 1986, in Dublin, Texas.

Monica was raised in De Leon and lived most all of her life here. She was a loving homemaker for her family. Monica enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, camping, spending time outdoors and listening to music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and niece. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Floyd; son, Cassidy Floyd; daughter, Keisha Floyd; grandchild, Jordan Trout; sister-in-law, Lydia Boen; aunt, Shirley Quinn; uncles, Jack Boen and wife, Linda, and Leon Boen and wife, Wanda; numerous cousins and other extended family. Monica was preceded in death by her father, Glen Wilson; mother, Elaine Boen Burnett; step-father, Daniel Burnett; and brother, Randall Boen.

Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, May 27, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in Ebenezer Cemetery with Brother Matt Morton officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joe Baptist Church, in memory of Monica.
