Obituary

Nadine Kea, 82, of De Leon, went home to her Lord and Savior on February 4, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was born June 22, 1935, in Gorman, Texas to J.C. Sadberry and Thelma Lee Champion Sadberry. Nadine married Lee Kea July 18, 1959 in May, Texas.

Nadine lived in the De Leon Community her entire life and graduated from De Leon High School in 1954. She was very involved in the community and worked at Dr. Sharp's Dental practice, Da-Nite, DQ, Bearcat Grill, Jones Café, and owned and operated the Snak-Shak. Nadine was a long time member of De Leon First Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She loved her church and church family dearly. Nadine was a devoted homemaker for her family. She was a wonderful cook and a talented baker. She made the most delicious pecan pies that her family loved. Nadine had many other talents including sewing, quilting and painting. She also loved spending time outdoors and camping. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She attended as many of her grandkids school activities as she could. She was their greatest fan. Nadine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and neighbor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Penny Fronterhouse and husband, Wayland, and Polly Snow and husband, Floyd; step-daughter, Carolyn Fischer and husband, Harold; grandchildren, Vince Fischer, Lance Fischer, Kristi Gonzales, Jackson Jobe, Leslie Cogburn, Troy Snow, Justin Snow and Ashley Woodrum; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Hannah, Angelina, Mark, Armando, Tayln, Chloe, Heston, Eden, Marshall, Ryan, Riggin, Brittani, Bailey, Taylor, Tristin, Kambrie, Hunter, Caiden, William and Caraline; four great-great grandchildren; brother, J.W. Sadberry and wife, Ann; sister, Charlotte Coan; sister-in-law, Freddie Sadberry; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family; and many dear friends.

Nadine was preceded by her husband, Lee; parents, J.C. and Thelma Sadberry; grandson, Brian; brother, Curtis Sadberry; and brother-in-law, Rodney Coan.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Brother Daniel Harper and Brother Kenneth Wilson officiating. Graveside services followed in Downing Cemetery.
