Nancy Vivian Hardin, 89, of De Leon, went home to her Lord and Savior January 15, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was born June 18, 1928, in Knox County, Texas, to Joseph Snider and Nancy Ann Robinson Snider. Vivian married Loyd Hardin, September 10, 1945, in Dublin.
Vivian and her husband, Loyd, of 72 years, lived in the DeLeon Community for most of their lives. Vivian was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She treated each and every family member as if they were her favorite. She loved the many "Family" get togethers and one of her many blessings she treasured was watching her "Grands" hunt Easter Eggs. If you were coming for a visit, she would prepare your favorite dessert even if it meant baking multiple cakes and pies. Her family was her hobby, but she also had other interest she enjoyed. She loved to get out in the sunshine to work in the yard and when her garden was producing, she loved to can and prepare meals from the garden.
Vivian began attending the Assembly of God church at age eleven. She and Loyd have continued to be active serving members of the church during their 72 years of marriage. Vivian loved to sing a joyful song to her Lord and Savior. She was faithful to the Lord and took her prayer life very serious. She was a tremendous prayer warrior for her family, friends and church. Vivian was tiny in stature, but strong on love, perseverance and strength. When she entered Heaven on Monday night, we have no doubt that she was greeted with "Well done, good and faithful servant."
She is survived by her loving husband, Loyd Hardin; sons, Danny Hardin and wife, JoAnne, Donnie Hardin and wife, Melinda, and Rocky Hardin and wife, Tracey; daughters, Glenda Weaver and husband, Bodie, and Karen Sharp and husband, Boyd; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and many loving friends.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nancy Snider; daughter, Sandra Farley; and sixteen siblings.
A celebration of Vivian's life was held Friday, January 19, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Munter officiating. Vivian was laid to rest in De Leon Cemetery.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Assembly of God Church, De Leon, in memory of Vivian.
