Neeta Jean Shoemaker, 90, passed away December 12, 2014, in Houston, Texas.
Jean was born September 18, 1924, to W.A. (Pete) Bryson and Eva Ann King Bryson in Comanche County, Texas. She graduated from Gustine High School and married Dale Shoemaker August 1, 1942.
Jean lived in Comanche County for many years as a homemaker and seamstress. Her joys were family, oil painting, sewing, crocheting, and "blinging" to make the world a more colorful and brighter place. She will be long remembered for her colorful blinged outfits.
She is survived by daughters, Carol and Kay Shoemaker; grandchildren, Doddie McNair, Lesa Morgan and husband, Patrick, W,R. (Bo) Shoemaker and Selena Rich; thirteen great grandchildren, eighteen great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Shoemaker; son, Jack Shoemaker; parents; brothers, Neal and Freddy Bryson; and sisters, Lucille Loyd, Ilene Brown, Maureen Shoemaker and Zoetta Grayson.
A graveside memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, in DeLeon Cemetery.
