Obituary

Norma Koppitz Scott, 52, of De Leon, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born August 1, 1962 in Duren, Germany, to Hubert Koppitz and Ilse Kraseman. Norma married Hadley Scott September 18, 1999, in De Leon.

Norma was a member of the FM 3381 Church of Christ in Comanche. She was a devoted homemaker for her husband and children. She and Hadley had great appreciation for new technologies and the internet as they came together on the web in March of 1999. The two have always believed their relationship was a series of answered prayers and God's personal planned journey for their relationship with many blessings along the way. Norma enjoyed watching crime story series which required much thought. She was extremely intelligent, advanced in many languages and a deep thinker. Norma worked for Deutche Bank in Frankfurt, Germany in the computer security division. This career required many overtime hours but with this overtime came many hours of vacation of which she spent travelling. She gave up much to create a family and live in the United States. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she was happiest while spending time with them. She was a loving wife, selfless mother and devoted friend. She will be missed beyond measure by all who loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Hadley Scott; son, Jano Scott; daughters, Stellina Scott and Finja Scott; mother, Isle Hilger and husband, Tony; brother, Patrick Koppitz and wife, Christa; sister, Britta Munchhalfen and husband, Hartmut; step-mother, Maria "Ria" Koppitz; parents in law, Hadley and Nancy Scott; brothers in law, Bill Scott and wife, Rhonda, and Mason Scott; sister in law, D'Anna Roseberry and husband, Tony; several nieces and nephews; other extended family; and a host of friends. Norma was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Koppitz.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Minister Steven Sarff officiating. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
