Obituary

Oleta Fay Hall Dodd was born on February 5, 1935 in Erath County, TX to Earl and Dovie Hall. She passed from this life on July 1, 2021 while residing at Maranatha Village in Springfield, MO.

Oleta was married to Richard Doyle Dodd on December 26, 1954 and they had three children, Gary Doyle, Reita Jean, and Teresa Faye. Reita is the only remaining survivor of the immediate family as Richard, Gary and Teresa all preceded Oleta in death.

Most of Oleta's adult life was spent in DeLeon as a faithful homemaker and helping Richard run Dodd Auto Parts for many years. Several years after Richard passed away, she moved to Forth Worth to live with Teresa and help her undergo cancer treatments. Soon afterwards, Teresa and Oleta went to live with Reita, and her husband, Bill, in Springfield, MO.  Teresa passed away a short time later and Oleta continued to live with Reita and Bill until they could no longer give her the care she required and she then moved to Maranatha Village, a retirement community operated by the Assemblies of God. Oleta was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in De Leon, TX for many years and truly enjoyed all the years there.

Her only living siblings are her twin sister, Oneta Hall, and her brother, Weldon Hall.

The Dodd family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, July 4, 2021, from 5-7:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday July 5, 2021, at 10 a.m. in De Leon Cemetery.
