Patsy Ruth Johnson, 87, of Dallas, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She was born March 15, 1937, to Alvin Hamilton and Addie Mae Pilcher Hamilton. Patsy married David Johnson, and they enjoyed a loving marriage of 46 years until his passing on January 23, 2008.

Patsy was raised in De Leon and graduated from De Leon High School. She was employed in the banking industry in De Leon before she and David married and moved to Dallas, which was their home ever since. She retired from North Park Mall after many years of being employed within their payroll department and human resource department. She loved her time spent with North Park and her many co-workers who became special friends.

Patsy enjoyed many hobbies in life. She loved knitting, playing the piano and guitar. She deeply loved to travel. She and David experienced many wonderful trips all over and enjoyed going on cruises. After David's passing, Patsy continued to travel and enjoyed her time exploring. She was a talented photographer and loved to capture her travels. She also treasured her family reunions. Reconnecting with her distant family was always so special to her. Patsy was fashion forward, always dressed classy and proper. She loved to care for her appearance and one of her favorite activities was to entertain her dear friends with dinner parties full of fancy utensils, crystal, formal dishes and china.

She deeply loved her church family and the Lord. She was always kind and helpful to friends and strangers alike. The absolute center of her life was her son and his family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and adored her time spent with her family. Patsy was full of life and laughter and would light up any room she entered. Her poodles were her loving companions, and they filled a special place in her heart. Patsy was truly a special soul and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nelly Johnson; grandchildren, Bryson D. Johnson and Andre Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family; and many dear friends. She has been reunited with her parents, Alvin and Addie Hamilton; husband, David Johnson; son, Dwayne Johnson; brothers, J.T. Hamilton, Gene Paul Hamilton, Alvin Hamilton; sister, Cherry Young, and baby sister, Alice Fern.

Funeral services celebrating Patsy's life were held October 19, 2024, at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home, with Pastor Emeritus Dan Rigdon officiating. Patsy was laid to rest beside her husband in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche. Serving as pallbearers were Bryson Johnson, Andre Johnson, Fabio Flores, Brian Carter, Toby Robinson and Adam Jensen.
