Patty Ann Black Joslin, 55, of De Leon and formerly of Dublin, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016, in Weatherford, Texas.
She was born January 20, 1961, in Robert Lee, Texas, to Tommy and Daisy Black. Patty married Gary Joslin December 15, 1984, in Mansfield, Texas.
Patty was a loving and devoted homemaker for her family. She and Gary moved to the Dublin area in 1991 and to De Leon in 2008. Patty's greatest joy in life was her family. Being active in the lives of her children and grandchildren made her incredibly happy. Patty loved watching her grandkids play sports and participate in school activities. She also enjoyed camping and fishing,
playing computer games, watching her "shows", and visiting with friends. She was a dedicated wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister and friend. She will deeply missed by all who loved her.
She leaves behind a loving legacy. Surviving Patty are her loving husband of 32 years, Gary Dwight Joslin; sons, Martin Billy Chapa and wife, Kally; Scotty Chapa and wife, Christi; Dwayne Joslin and wife, Karem; and daughter, Bethany Sparks and husband, Duane; grandchildren, Jessie Chapa, Dodge Chapa, Sierra Chapa, Kain Chapa, Hudsen Joslin, Mason Joslin, Riley Chapa, Isabella Davis, Sophia Davis, Ava Davis and Tessa Chapa; mother, Daisy Nell Black; sisters, Sylena Taylor and Molly Hocutt; brothers, Bo Black and Randy Scott Black; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
Patty was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Black; and grandson, Gage Chapa.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside services followed in Proctor Cemetery.
