Pauline Gauna, 86, passed peacefully from this life February 14, 2025, at De Leon Nursing and Rehab. She was born November 23, 1938, in Yancey, Texas to Frank and Patsy Gomez Frausto. Pauline married Raymond Gauna in 1961 in Hondo, Texas.

Pauline lived in De Leon for over fifty years and was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was a devoted homemaker for her family. She also helped her family with pecan harvesting. Pauline enjoyed spending time outdoors and was a wonderful caretaker for her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Gauna, Cecil Gauna, and Louis Gauna; daughter, Janie Banda and husband, Jessie; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; and three sons.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment followed in De Leon Cemetery.
