Peggy Yvonne (Thornton) Gore, 70, of Houston, passed away March 12, 2019 in Baytown, Texas. She was born July 25, 1948, in De Leon, Texas to Everette Guy Thornton and Retha Audrey Franks Thornton. Peggy married Glen Gore September 29 ^th , 1969.

Peggy was a loving and dedicated homemaker for her family. She enjoyed many hobbies but especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Peggy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glen Gore; sons, James Gore and Will Gore; daughter, Debbie Fojtik and husband, Lewis; grandchildren, Katherine Gore, Vail Fojtik, Lou Fojtik and Benjamin Fojtik; sisters, Nancy Greenwood, Barbara Toepoel and Susan Thornton; brother, Kenny Thornton and wife, Audris; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents (of De Leon).

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 1 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Pastor John Woodard officiating.
