Phillip A. Parker, 77, of De Leon, was born December 24, 1945, in Gorman, Texas to Arden G. and Charlotte Parker.

Phillip was raised in De Leon and graduated from De Leon High School. He went on to receive all his higher education, including his Doctor of Philosophy, from Tarleton State University and was employed by Tarleton as a professor for many years. He was also a long-time peanut farmer.

Phillip is survived by his two nieces, Michelle Keen and husband, Jerry, and Kasey Sams and husband, Bobby; great nephews and great nieces, Earl Keen and wife, Bonnie, Cherokee Hoffman and husband, Casey, Tesla Sams and Trever Brown, and Michael Parker; sister-in-law, Rebecca Parker; and many great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Arden and Charlotte Parker; and brothers, Mike Parker and Ronnie Parker.

Graveside committal was held Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in Victor Cemetery.
