Randy Smith, 53, of De Leon, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014. He was born December 7, 1960, in Slaton, Texas, to Bobby and Barbara Smith.

Randy moved to De Leon from Lubbock in 2004. He was an employee of Pate's Hardware in De Leon. Randy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and playing with his dogs. He will be missed beyond measure by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Barbara Smith of De Leon; son, Les Trevino; daughter, Amanda Leann Smith; brother, Charles Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Randy has gone home to join his son, Joseph Vitalec.

Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Brother Jackie Auvenshine officiating.
