Raymond Matthew Barnes, 51, of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016.

He was born February 22, 1965, in Colorado Springs, CO, to Raymond Edwin Barnes and Frances Gene Plaunty Barnes. Raymond married his loving wife of 31 years, Lana Shelton Barnes, June 19, 1985, in Stephenville.

Raymond was employed by Precision Striping in Ft. Worth. He grew up in Gorman and lived most all of his life in Eastland and Erath Counties. He loved to work on and maintain his truck. He enjoyed fishing, being around animals and spending time with his family and many friends. Raymond enjoyed life and always had a good time with whatever he was doing. He was talented artist and enjoyed drawing.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Lana Barnes; son, Dwayne Green; daughter, Brittany Featherstone and husband, Brandon; mother, Frances Barnes; brothers, Randall Maurice Barnes and Roy Eugene Vanwinkle; sisters, Linda Smith, Marlo Kelly, Jenette Reynolds and Adelle Harmon; six grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. Raymond was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 10, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Ray Seckinger officiating. Graveside services followed in Oliver Springs Cemetery.
