Renae
Mitchell
Jul 10, 1970 — Jul 16, 2024
Renae Howle Mitchell, 54, passed from this life July 16, 2024. She was with one of her dearest friends doing one of the things she loved most in life, riding her beloved spider motorcycle. Renae was born July 10, 1970, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Rick Howle and Judy Glasscock Howle. She married Cory Mitchell on July 4th, 2003, and they enjoyed a loving marriage of twenty-one years.
Renae and Cory moved to De Leon from Stephenville in 2017 and are members of The Way Fellowship in De Leon. She loved her church family dearly. She was a devoted member of Christian Motorcycles Association (CMA – Stephenville Chapter) where she faithfully served in many capacities and was the current club secretary. Renae loved the opportunities CMA provided her to share two of the most important loves of her life with others – Jesus and riding.
She was a woman of many talents and was extremely crafty. She enjoyed making patches and doing leatherwork, among many other crafts. She loved spending time outdoors camping and fishing and was extremely intelligent and tech savvy. She was ahead of her time with technology and could master just about any computer problem that might present itself.
Ranae was employed with Saint Gobain in Customer Service, a career she loved for over twenty years. Her work family was her extended family, and she would do anything she could to help them however she was able. Next to her faith in Jesus Christ, her family meant most to her. She was always "family first" with an open-door policy for anyone needing a safe place to feel loved. She was fun, witty, and lived life to the fullest. While her family feels a great void because of her earthly absence, their assurance that she is now face to face with Jesus provides them eternal comfort. She will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her.
Ranae is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Cory Mitchell; daughter, Alexis Starr; sons, Robert Boedecker (Andrea) and Jake Mitchell (Lauren); grandchildren, Ellis Gilchrest and Eli Gilchrest; father, Rick Howle; sister, Jenise Cloud (Toby); numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. She has been reunited with mother, Judy Howle.
A celebration of Ranae's life was held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Hico, Texas 76457.
