Rene Brown
Gilder
Dec 4, 1964 — Feb 12, 2021
Dona Rene' (Brown) Gilder, 56 years old, unexpectedly passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, to be with her Savior in Heaven. She was born December 4, 1964, and given by God, to Don Edward Brown and Patricia Ann Morris Brown. Rene' married the love of her life, Terry Gilder, on Sept. 29, 2019 at St. Joe Baptist Church.
Rene' grew up in Odessa, Texas, then moved to Austin, Texas in 1997. There, she started working for Prevent Child Abuse Texas, helping raise awareness of abused children. She had a natural calling to help children.
Rene' moved to De Leon several years ago to be close to her mother and father. Rene' never met a stranger and could light up a room with her laughter and her smile. She loved playing the piano, baking, knitting, sewing, and playing the organ at St. Joe.
Rene' was so very excited about her new twin granddaughters and was so excited to be a grandmother. Her grandbabies would cause her to melt with joy. She was a member of St. Joe Baptist Church, and loved her church family.
Rene's life was too short on earth and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving Rene' is her loving husband, Terry Gilder of DeLeon; daughter, Cambri Rene' Massie and husband, Adam, of Killeen; stepson, Toby Gilder and wife, Jeannette, and Jamie Gilder; twin granddaughters, Patricia Rene' and Gailia Rene'; brother, Rhet Morris Brown of Austin; special friends, Robert and Peggy Webb; numerous cousins; and other extended family.
Rene' has been reunited with her parents, Don and Patricia, and grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who have gone before her.
Graveside memorial services celebrating Rene's life were held Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in Round Grove Cemetery with Brother Matt Morton officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Rene' to St. Joe Baptist Church at PO Box 201 or to Victor Cemetery Association at PO Box 382, De Leon, TX 76444.
