Ricky Alegria, 31, of De Leon, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016.
He was born September 9, 1984, in Weslaco, Texas to Ricardo and Elvira Alegria.
Ricky graduated from De Leon High School in 2002. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of De Leon. Ricky was a faithful Dallas Cowboy football fan.
He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his many relatives. He especially enjoyed time spent with his three children. They were the light of his life and he was a great father to each of them. Ricky was a devoted friend who would do anything to help a friend in need. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, fiancé, brother-in-law, and friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his fiancé, Karla Estrada, and their three children, Hayden, Aubrey and Bae; mom and dad, Gilbert and Elvira Salinas; father, Ricardo Alegria; sister, Fayma Cordova and husband, Eloy; brother, Robert Alegria and Shelly Skaggs; brothers-in-law, Scott Estrada and wife, Vanessa, and Matt Estrada and wife, Carressa; nieces and nephews, Israel, Katie, Jamison, Blake, Eli, Kaelin, Karleigh, Kaeden, Kaleb, Markus and Kalissa; many aunts, uncles and cousins; other extended family and many friends. Ricky has been reunited with his grandparents, Domingo and Maria Mendez; and uncles, Elias and Joel Mendez.
Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, De Leon. Graveside services followed in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche County. Serving as pallbearers were Christopher Luna, Fernando Rangel, Scott Estrada, Matt Estrada, Justin Salinas, Mickey Salinas and Chris Spencer.
