Ronald was raised in Staunton, Indiana and graduated from Staunton High School in 1960. Ronald and Carol moved their family to Euless, Texas in 1974, and moved to Desdemona in 2002. He was the first President of the Desdemona Activity Center Board, helping to initiate, develop, and build a loving community center that still serves Desdemona today. He always enjoyed fishing, especially with his grandsons. Ronald was a loving and committed family man. He was a devoted husband, attentive father, doting grandfather, and a loyal friend and neighbor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Pell; son, Jim Pell and wife, Glenda; daughters, Cindy Shannon and husband, Mike, and Leslie Kiere and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Becca and husband, James, Caity, Josh, Justin, Jarrod, Hailey, Stephanie, Andrea and husband, Travis, Jacob and wife, Katie, and Allyson and husband, Ryan; four great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.

The Pell family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the employees of Solaris Hospice. The kind and loving care provided to Ronald in his final days will always be appreciated.
